Being a gamer is a wonderful thing! So why don’t we share some of our experiences in a fun little game? I’d love to see your responses to these questions as well, so be sure to leave a comment with yours too!
Before we begin, I’d like to give a special thanks to A Geek Girl’s Guide for this Have You Ever – Gamer’s Edition! Be sure to check them out!
Rage quit a game
Are you really a gamer if you haven’t at least once? The most notorious rage quit I had was when I played Super Paper Mario for the first time. I was being a cheeky and wanted to know the responses I would get if I said I did not want to save the world. Little did I know, after a long series of cutscenes to get to this point, that this would result in a Game Over with no save file before reaching this point. I was not going to start over again and have looked down on the series ever since. I may still be a bit salty.
Earned all achievements in a game
I actually have and it’s not a game you would expect! It was the original Mario Party game for N64. I spent soooo many hours in this game to unlock everything. Would I do it again? No way. Was it worth it? Yes, there was a lot of fun bonus mini-games along the way!
Pulled an all-nighter gaming
Not recently, but I have done so as a kid, absolutely! Ocarina of Time and I are best friends.
Livestreamed your gaming
Yes! I actually am a livestreamer on Twitch. I would love to have you come hang out with us sometime! We have a very positive & friendly community there where we play games like Minecraft, Super Mario Maker 2, Jackbox, Club House Games, retro games, etc.
Pre-ordered a game
Too many to count here! I am always pre-ordering games because I don’t want to get hit with spoilers for waiting too long!
Bought a game and never played it
Guilty, especially with Steam. I have a whole collection of games on there, like Resident Evil, that I have yet to touch.
Been jumpscared by a horror game
Two words: Fatal Frame. This game spoops me to no end.
Had a set squad for a specific game
Yes! As an MMORPG player in my free time I have groups that I play with on the regular. Some I have played with for many years, others just in the last few months. I love my squads.
Bought a game on multiple platforms
Mario, Zelda, Star Ocean, Skyrim… to name a few.
Got a console for the games specifically
Yup! If there’s no game I want what’s the point in buying the console? The games to me are what sell the console. If you have a great product but nothing to do on it, then what is the point? I will happily drop money on the latest tech for the next installment of my favorite series. Speaking of which… I’m ready for the PS5, let’s go!
